  Religions that don't believe in having a Social Security Number?

  i work for a real estate company.

  i overheard two realtors talking about a client trying to buy a house and the client didn't have a social security number because of religious reasons.

  i said..excuse me..but what religion is it?.

  A social security number is the mark of the beast, without which no-one can buy or sell.

  If you don't want to displease Jehovah the Most High, it is best to refuse to be marked as a member of this dying old system.

  So God can sin?

  something i've been thinking of.... god created humans in his image, yet it's possible for human's to sin, so therefore it's possible for god to sin right?.

  the jw's will throw the, "but jehovah can never lie", but if it's possible for him to sin then it's possible for him to lie about not lying?

  A Child Called "It"

  i know many of you have probably already read this book, but as i was listening to it as an audio book, i had a new thought.

  this poor child was abused by his mother.

  there is a part in the book where the teachers and police are trying to get him to talk about the things his mother had done to him.

  God makes up the rules, so what he says goes. Everything he does is righteous and true. He sets the pace and we follow and watch in awe.

  Whatever he does, though sinful to you and I, is simply an expression of his might and majesty; proof that he alone is the most high and can do whatever he wants to.

  His ways are so far above us that we are not able to understand or comprehend his unfathomable splendor, or know the way of his thoughts as he sets matters straight.

  So far above us, that it is entirely possible to not know that he is anywhere at all.

  Can Elders encourage disfellowshiped people?

  ok i've had three elders from other halls come encourage me to come back ( been disfellowshiped for year and a half now), but none of the elders in my home congregation would even look at me when i vist.

  i asked my old p.o can he encourage me and he said i won't do that, when three other elders encouraged me to come back.. .

  my question is was my p.o right are was he just being a jerk..

  When I was a JW, a friend of mine was put on ice but I continued to visit him. The elder squat team told me to stop associating with him.

  I pointed out that they still called on him. They informed me that only the elders were strong enough in the truth to call on the miscreant, without suffering contamination.

  Obviously the elders in your spiritual paradise are not strong enough or you are one very wicked dude. Scary stuff eh!

  i remember asking this question to couple of elders who came to visit me.

  i had pointed out their failed prophecies, and the fact that they were constantly making corrections in their publications, and how this proved god wasn't really behind it.. they went into the usual song and dance about how the gb were simply imperfect men, and never claimed to be infallible.

  i reminded them that the bible writers were also imperfect men, and yet the bible supposedly was infallible.

  No-one really has a clue what these terms mean. It is all a trick of the mind, an attempt to produce reality out of something less real than thin air.

  If God (Jehovah) truly loved humans

  i`m taking this veiwpoint from a jw/christian observation, and my questions are:.

  if god, jehovah, allah,or whoever else you may like to call him,truly had the worlds " human" interests at heart,why would he only deal with a small minority of humans,over centuries of time ignoring the vast majority of the worlds population.. why would he send a number of prophets over centuries of time,to specifically set matters straight as to how they should worship him,then when it comes down to jesus time ,their are numerous sects,and no real direction from god as to how they should worship him.it`s all left up to faith,which is radically different from the "old testament"veiw.. why didn`t he give instructions /guidance to the rest of mankind,(who would have been in the millions by now)to give them some hope of salvation?

  obviously he didn`t give any thought to them.. 2000 years on from their, the christian gospel is mainly only preached in western civilizations,it is not widely preached in india,pakistan,the uae,mainland china,indonesia,afghanistan,or many other large populated areas.. so my question is.... does god really "love the world so much that he gave his only begotten son" .
